Translated by Omdevaji, with a little explanation of myself

1.5: Vrittayah Panchatyyah Klista Aklistah

There are 5 patterns influenced by latent impressions, past actions and thoughts. They are called Klesha’s

1.6 : The 5 Vrittis are
Pramana – Correct knowledge
Viparyaya – Incorrect knowledge or wandering
Vikalpa – Fantasy
Nidra – Deep sleep
Smriti – Memory

1.7 : Pratyaksha Anumana Agamah Pramanani
Pramana: Correct cognition of directly perceived objects

You enter this world by your 5 senses and their observations.
Without observation there is no experience.
Without experience there is no way you can know and understand.

To consider is to let the mind compare what you observed to memories of similar experiences
This way you can come to a conclusion.
This way a collection of observations is made from which you draw in the process of interpretation.

To read is to compare the observations and considerations to what others say, to the knowledge of what is written in books.
These 3: to observe, to consider and to compare towards your own knowledge, or the knowledge in books, are proof or the fundaments of correct knowledge.
